How You Can Reduce Blogger's Feed Size Below FeedBurner's 512K limit

Read and follow the instruction carefully:

I suffers this feed problem too until i was able to solve it, i one day discovered that my feed readers was contacting me saying they are not getting the updates of my recent post unless they visit the main page of my blog.

I try several option in order to bring my feed back to normal but day by day i get nothing, i call friends who knows about feed and they told me that it could be due to too much pictures in my post that i should delete most of my post with heavy pictures. i went ahead and make many delete of post but still the problem was not solved.

Now, this was what i decided to do. I decided to reduce the number of post that will display on my feed if it is being open by my subscribers after i done that i found out that the feed start working back. below are the instruction that i used. read through it carefully and am sure it will help solve your feed problems.

To get a feed larger than 512K back down to size on Blogger, you need to add a parameter to the address for your original feed's URL — the one that FeedBurner checks for updates in order to keep your FeedBurner feed current — that tells Blogger to shorten it to a specific number of posts. To add this parameter:



  • Sign in to your FeedBurner Account. 
  • Click the title of your FeedBurner feed on the My Feeds page.
  • On the feed management page that appears, click the Edit Feed Details... link just below your feed's title.
  • In the Original Feed Address field, change the address listed there from an example like the following:



    • Addresses:
    http://blogaddress.blogspot.com/atom.xml
    OR

    http:// blogaddress .blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default

    To the following format: 

    Addresses:
    http:// blogaddress .blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default?max-results=2


    Note here that you can choose between 1-500 but for it to work back you have to choose a small number like from 1-3



  • Click Save Feed Details. Your changes are immediately applied and FeedBurner re-burns the newly shortened feed.
